A. Overview
- Direct admit students are accepted to the CMB Program directly under a CMB faculty member who serves as their Thesis Advisor for the duration of their PhD studies
- They do not participate in fall laboratory rotations, but are strongly encouraged to attend social activities during Advising & Orientation, the student Fall retreat, and other activities hosted by the CMB Program
- They obtain benefits, registration, payroll information, etc. from the home department of their Thesis Advisor. (Example: Direct Admit student “X” was accepted into the CMB Program under the direction of Professor “Y.” Professor “Y” is a professor in the Anatomy Department.
