The Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology (ERP) graduate program and the Center for Women's Health Research (CWHR) are pleased to announce a Joint Symposium entitled “From Cells to Society”. This symposium is our first venture in forging strong academic partnerships between ERP and the CWHR and is jointly sponsored by the Meriter Hospital Foundation and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The symposium will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 8-4:00 pm at the Pyle Center. The focus of this symposium is to highlight the basic research and translational research conducted by the ERP and CWHR faculty as well as begin a dialog with the campus community about translational research opportunities.
This one-day symposium will include keynote addresses by Dr. Kent Thornburg, Director Heart Research Center, Oregon Health and Science University and Dr. Florence Haseltine of the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Center for Population Research. The schedule will also include short presentations by ERP and CWHR faculty, fellows, and students. We are also soliciting abstracts for poster and oral presentations (see attached guidelines).
