The UW Cardiovascular Research Center will cosponsor the Biomedical Engineering Seminar (BME) Lecture on Monday, April 14, 2008. Please join us for Multi-ScaleModeling and Computational Physiology, given by Peter Hunter, Ph.D., FRS, Professor, Engineering Science, Academic/Institute Director, Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland. The BME lecture will be at 3:00 pm, in the Tong Auditorium, Room 1003 Engineering Centers Building, 1550 Engineering Drive.
The Vascular Biology Research Colloquium on Thursday, April 3, 2008,will feature Alan Rapraeger, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, who will speak on “Inhibition ofangiogenesis by synstatin." This colloquium will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 116 Service Memorial Institute (SMI).

Cardiovascular Research Conference will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 and will feature Barry London, MD, Ph.D., Harry S. Tack Professor of Medicine; Professor of Cell Biology and Physiology; Chief, Division of Cardiology; Director, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Cardiovascular Institute (CVI). Dr. London will speak on “Sodium Channel Trafficking and Arrhythmias.” The lecture will be at 4:00 p.m. in room 1345 HSLC. It is sponsored by the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the UW Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC). For more information, contact Hector H.
The Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology (ERP) graduate program and the Center for Women's Health Research (CWHR) are pleased to announce a Joint Symposium entitled “From Cells to Society”. This symposium is our first venture in forging strong academic partnerships between ERP and the CWHR and is jointly sponsored by the Meriter Hospital Foundation and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
