The CMB Travel Award is offered twice yearly, when funds are available. Students are eligible to receive the award, which will cover up to $500 each time it is awarded, every other year. A call for applications goes out at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
- Current graduate students who have presented or will present a poster or talk at a scientific conference between August 1 and December 31 of the current year (for the fall travel award), or January 1 and July 31 of the current year (for the spring travel award); OR students who will travel to another lab to collaborate or learn a new technique during this time.
- Students are eligible to apply in the current round if they did not receive the award during the last two (fall and spring) rounds.
The Travel Award application consists of a cover sheet, an abstract, and a letter from your PI confirming travel plans and supporting the application. More details will be included in the call for proposals from the CMB Office.
(Note: Research travel awards are also available through the Graduate School.)
